About This Role

Lead financial due diligence for middle-market transactions, serving corporate clients, private equity groups, and commercial lenders. You will manage engagements, analyze client data, and develop client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead buy-side and sell-side transactions for corporate clients, private equity groups and commercial lenders
  • Manage engagements throughout the transaction lifecycle and coordinate Grant Thornton capabilities
  • Serve as the day-to-day point person on engagements; lead meetings and calls with clients and target management
  • Plan, execute, direct and complete financial due diligence for financial and strategic buyers across a variety of industries
  • Examine and analyze client data to identify key trends, quality of earnings adjustments and net working capital impacts
  • Draft reports to socialize findings around quality of earnings, net working capital and business performance
  • Manage client expectations concerning timing, progress, deliverables, deadlines, and lead change efforts effectively
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Manage business development activities, such as proposals, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership material
  • Manage, develop, train, coach and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function
  • Industry recognized professional certification (e.g., CPA)
  • Strong current knowledge in US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting, transaction advisory services or mergers and acquisitions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross-industry clients at a national level
