Lead financial due diligence for middle-market transactions, serving corporate clients, private equity groups, and commercial lenders. You will manage engagements, analyze client data, and develop client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead buy-side and sell-side transactions for corporate clients, private equity groups and commercial lenders
- Manage engagements throughout the transaction lifecycle and coordinate Grant Thornton capabilities
- Serve as the day-to-day point person on engagements; lead meetings and calls with clients and target management
- Plan, execute, direct and complete financial due diligence for financial and strategic buyers across a variety of industries
- Examine and analyze client data to identify key trends, quality of earnings adjustments and net working capital impacts
- Draft reports to socialize findings around quality of earnings, net working capital and business performance
- Manage client expectations concerning timing, progress, deliverables, deadlines, and lead change efforts effectively
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Manage business development activities, such as proposals, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership material
- Manage, develop, train, coach and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 10 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function
- Industry recognized professional certification (e.g., CPA)
- Strong current knowledge in US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting, transaction advisory services or mergers and acquisitions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 10 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross-industry clients at a national level
