Financial Crimes Fraud Specialist

About This Role

As a Financial Crimes Fraud Specialist at Regions Bank, you will monitor fraud prevention reports, review and resolve claims related to potentially fraudulent activity, and reduce possible financial losses.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze potentially fraudulent activity related to customer accounts or other bank products
• Identify valid and fraudulent charges, set up fraud files, and use multiple research techniques to resolve issues
• Reconcile and summarize fraud losses and communicate with customers to notify of inquiry and problem resolution
• Analyze suspicious activity on customers' accounts and research history for customer activity
• Contact account officer(s) to assist in verification of items
• Maintain company fraud database records
• Respond to emails, phone calls, and voicemails from branches and account officers
• Complete database for Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) referrals
• Monitor fraud prevention reports and ensure appropriate steps are taken to reduce possible losses

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of fraud or related work experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational, analytical and judgment skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of fraud or related work experience, with a preference for banking loss prevention experience

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Banking loss prevention experience
• Previous experience in fraud or banking loss prevention
• Fraud claims or dispute resolution background
• Strong analytical and judgment skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
