Financial Analyst

About This Role

This entry-level Financial Analyst position offers a long-term contract opportunity within the non-profit sector. The role encompasses managing financial processes, ensuring budgetary data accuracy, and supporting billing, accounts receivable, and reporting functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare funder billing reports by generating General Ledger reports for multiple grant codes using Sage Intacct
• Access and gather supporting documentation from the Accounts Payable module and Airbase to compile accurate expense records
• Use Adobe tools to create and combine files for funder billing packages
• Review billing packages for accuracy before uploading them to the organization’s portal
• Create Accounts Receivable invoices associated with funder bills
• Maintain and update Budget vs. Actual templates with billing and General Ledger data
• Input the latest budget updates into Sage Intacct to ensure accurate record-keeping
• Prepare monthly variance reports to provide insights into budget performance
• Participate in monthly variance meetings to address discrepancies and resolve financial issues
• Collaborate with team members to enhance financial processes and reporting accuracy

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in a financial or accounting role
• Proficiency in using accounting software systems such as Sage Intacct
• Knowledge of accrual accounting and auditing principles
• Experience in budget preparation and variance analysis
• Strong understanding of capital management and financial reporting processes

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a financial or accounting role
