Finance Manager

About This Role

This Finance Manager role involves overseeing monthly and annual financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial reporting and analysis to support the organization's goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly closing according to proper accounting standards and controls
• Control petty cash and perform bank reconciliation
• Prepare GST filing and ensure correct GST accounting
• Review collection and ensure timely invoicing for all events
• Manage operating cash flow and prepare cash flow forecast
• Responsible for accounting and finance management reporting, ensuring compliance to Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and Charity Accounting Standards, GST regulations, internal controls and other relevant rules and regulations
• Prepare annual budgets, monitor and analyze actual vs budget contract sum and costs incurred of individual events/projects
• Prepare value added financial reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis
• Review collection of membership fees/members' billings due and ensuring timely invoicing
• Review audit schedules and prepare accounting schedule packages for auditors
• Liaise with external parties such as bankers and auditors
• Assist CEO in preparing Statement of Accounts for Sport Singapore grants, grant application, IRAS & ROS documentations

Requirements

• Bachelor in Accountancy or equivalent
• Good knowledge in FRS/CAS and experience in accounting, audit and tax
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
• Proficient in MS Office applications and Xero
• Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Meticulous, analytical, independent and yet able to work in a team

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Accountancy or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.

Nice to Have

• Working experience in sport associations/IPC
