Finance & Accounting Internship

About This Role

This paid full-time internship offers college students with an accounting/finance emphasis a valuable understanding of corporate and manufacturing accounting by participating in real-world projects and tasks related to month-end close processes, SOX controls, and various finance projects at Parker Hannifin's Hydraulic & Aerospace Filtration Division (HAFD).

Responsibilities

• Participate in month-end close process, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and performing analysis
• Gain understanding of SOX and internal controls and adhere to those processes
• Summarize information for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Keep track of and maintain fixed asset inventory
• Assist with maintaining record retention per policies and procedures
• Perform various finance projects as assigned by supervisor
• Maintain imaging process for Accounting Department
• Actively participate in the development, implementation, and support of Lean Manufacturing and Finance
• Ensure quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen or have US Permanent Resident Status
• Currently enrolled in a College or University as a full-time student with at least sophomore status
• Ability to maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently
• Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, with a focus on Excel

• Bachelor’s degree with an accounting/finance emphasis
