Operate extrusion machinery to produce precision-engineered thermoplastic and fluoropolymer hose products for critical systems in aerospace, defense, renewable energy, and transportation, ensuring high quality and exacting tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate thermo-plastic extruders and auxiliary equipment according to engineering specifications
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to perform required testing and record pertinent information, ensuring quality standards are met
- Determine appropriate changeover of tooling to ensure proper dimensions according to specifications
- Monitor machines and processes, reporting irregularities to Lead or Supervisor for problem identification and resolution
- Handle materials for each assigned process
- Document, log, and compile reports as required and/or requested
- Participate in area and process team projects and activities
Requirements
- HS diploma or GED
- Mathematical aptitude
- Keyboarding skills
- Ability to operate forklift and manual/electric jack (Company will train)
- Measurement skills including precision measuring tools
- Attention to detail
- Troubleshooting skills
- Effective English verbal communication and listening skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage work projects
Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED required
- Machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Nice to Have
- Machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of MS Office software
