About This Role

Achieve sales volume and distribution objectives by managing and coaching a team of sales representatives, planning properly, organizing, training, and executing sales strategies. You will also maintain and grow relationships with key customer accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coach a team of sales representatives
  • Conduct effective one-on-one sales meetings by communicating objectives, identifying opportunities, reviewing performance, and guiding team members to close gaps
  • Develop and review performance enhancement plans for each sales representative
  • Address skill deficiencies of sales representatives by customizing coaching plans and tracking progress
  • Pre-plan prior to each sales period by strategizing with representatives to achieve goals and define target accounts
  • Participate in the associate interview and selection process for sales representatives
  • Demonstrate strong customer orientation by maintaining relationships with key accounts and identifying opportunities
  • Manage supplier surveys by planning routes, pre-surveying, conducting surveys with suppliers, and recapping results
  • Coordinate supplier ride-withs by collaborating with Business Managers
  • Resolve customer issues by following appropriate administrative processes and escalating as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent training/work experience
  • 5+ years of related sales experience
  • Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other computer programs including presentation software
  • Results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • Analytic and Reporting skills
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
  • Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in sales

Nice to Have

  • Ability to hold a Solicitor’s Permit
  • Understanding of Wine and Spirits
