This Foreman position oversees and performs the safety, efficiency, and quality of field service operations for a building materials company, with a primary focus on ensuring crew safety, managing field teams, and executing projects efficiently. The role involves leading WTI crews, communicating with stakeholders, and delivering timely service to customers while managing risks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily onsite safety briefs with the sales representative, customer, and WTI crew; inspect surroundings, equipment, and tools for safety concerns; complete and submit Daily Hazard Analysis forms.
- Ensure all project communication is completed before starting any WTI project, including daily communication with the WTI Field Resources Supervisor, weekly communication with the Sales Rep, and discussing the scope with WTI crew members and customers as needed.
- Efficiently manage projects by supervising crew start/end times, daily productivity, and ensuring tools and materials are available; complete projects per approved scope or specification.
- Perform end-of-day and/or end-of-project walk-throughs using a designated reporting tool to ensure quality of workmanship and address punch list items, including updates on work performed and materials consumed.
- Ensure all WTI Field Resources Representatives (Field Reps) maintain professional appearance and customer interaction.
- Order, track, and monitor inventory, and ensure quarterly cycle counts are completed and submitted timely.
- Provide pricing for self-performing projects over $12,500.
- Submit all proposals over $20,000 to the Supervisor for review and approval.
- Monitor and manage Field Reps, consulting with the Supervisor to resolve employee work-related issues and document elevated issues to HR as required.
- Coordinate with the Supervisor to create project schedules.
- Review time reports daily and make necessary corrections with the admin team.
- Attend all appropriate calls, meetings, and trainings.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in the roofing industry
- Thorough familiarity with built-up, EPDM, PVC, and other low-slope roofing systems, as well as metal and steep-slope roofing systems and repair methods
- 30-hour OSHA certification
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Minimum of five years of experience in the roofing industry; thoroughly familiar with built-up, EPDM, PVC, and other forms of low-slope roofing systems, as well as metal and other steep-sloop roofing systems, and how to repair them properly.
