Field Sales Support Specialist

About This Role

This role supports and increases sales activity for Commercial Roofing Sales Representatives by managing accounts, developing new business, and providing technical expertise to clients in the field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or distribute marketing materials
• Inspect and evaluate properties
• Prepare roof drawings and sketches
• Prepare scope of work documents and proposals
• Attend sales calls and provide technical expertise
• Price patch and repair jobs
• Identify, analyze, and resolve customer problems
• Prepare reports to owners regarding roof conditions
• Monitor installation of Tremco roofing products at project sites
• Conduct diagnostic infra-red scans of roofs and take photographs

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of related hands-on experience and/or training
• Prior sales and/or customer related experience in roofing industry
• Thorough understanding and application of roofing and waterproofing contracting standards
• Experience with MS Word, Excel
• Familiarity with CADD
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to build relationships and deliver exceptional customer service
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information and regulations
• Ability to draft reports and business correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information to customers, contractors, and architects
• Ability to communicate business and technical information to Sales Representative
• Intermediate math skills (discounts, interest, area, volume)

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years related hands-on experience and/or training in a similar role. Prior sales and/or customer related experience in roofing industry.
