This Family Law Attorney role involves managing a diverse caseload, advocating for clients through litigation and mediation, and providing comprehensive legal support in family law, estate planning, and personal injury cases across the DFW metroplex.
Responsibilities
- Handle both uncontested and contested family law cases from start to finish
- Conduct litigation, settlement negotiations, and temporary orders hearings
- Manage divorce, SAPCR, and child support hearings
- Perform final trials and witness preparation
- Draft pleadings with assistance from a paralegal
- Advocate fiercely for clients while ensuring they feel valued and respected
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in Texas
- 3+ years of family law experience
- Familiarity with practicing in the DFW metroplex/Texas
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer skills
- Comfortable handling both uncontested and contested family law cases
- Comfortable with litigation, settlement, temporary orders hearings, divorce, SAPCR, child support hearings, and final trials
- Comfortable in a courtroom setting
- Ability to work in a hybrid setting (3x/week in N. Dallas office)
Qualifications
- Graduated from law school and already licensed to practice in Texas
- At least 3 years of experience with family law cases
