About This Role

Perform diverse maintenance and repair tasks for campus facilities, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work, ensuring a safe and clean environment for the college community.

Responsibilities

  • Make repairs and service campus facilities including carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, and electrical
  • Build, install, and repair various materials/structures like walls, ceilings, roofs, partitions, fences, concrete/flatwork and windows
  • Assemble, install, and repair cabinets, desks, chairs, counters, cubicles, other miscellaneous furniture and related items
  • Cut, fit and install various materials like drywall, ceiling tiles, marker boards, floor and wall coverings, baseboards, cove base, other miscellaneous items
  • Carry out necessary demolition work as part of the remodeling and repair process
  • Perform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials
  • Operate aerial lifts, fork trucks, skid steers, S X S, and other miscellaneous equipment
  • Conduct snow removal and operate snow removal tools and equipment

Requirements

  • High school diploma with technical courses
  • 2 years of facilities/industrial maintenance experience to include an emphasis in Carpentry and plumbing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of installing, maintaining, remodeling, repairing facilities buildings and equipment including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety practices
  • Valid Driver’s license

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with technical courses
  • 2 years of facilities/industrial maintenance experience with an emphasis in Carpentry and plumbing

Nice to Have

  • Associate/technical degree/certificate in industrial technology, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or related technical field
  • Knowledge of HVAC and electrical
  • Good organization, customer service, and communication skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office
