Experience Manager

About This Role

The Experience Manager leads a team of stylists, estheticians, and sales associates to ensure an exceptional guest experience and drive top-line sales growth in retail and services. This role focuses on performance, people development, and process adherence to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

• Promote accountability to meet or exceed store goals related to services, boutiques, retail sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and retail shrink
• Drive company profitability through operational excellence, top-line sales growth, and expense control
• Support scheduling needs to maximize productivity and achieve sales and payroll goals
• Develop strategies to improve underperforming metrics related to services, boutiques, retail sales, and guest loyalty
• Attract, hire, retain, and source a diverse team of top talent for the salon and boutiques
• Build a highly engaged team through effective collaboration, communication, and coaching
• Support all aspects of manager and associate professional development including training, feedback, and performance reviews
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards, including Infection Control Policy
• Utilize scheduling and task management tools to optimize staffing and execute store workload
• Protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met

Requirements

• 2-3+ years in fast-paced retail management or similar experience
• Financial management experience including driving sales, interpreting data, managing payroll, and controlling expenses
• Advanced competency in cosmetology services, sales, guest experience, and product attachment
• Knowledge of Board of Cosmetology regulations and hiring requirements
• Experience with monitoring inventory levels, achieving operational excellence, and executing merchandise directives
• Experience attracting, developing, and motivating top talent
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system, Microsoft Office programs, and Apple devices)
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to react under pressure, use good judgment in ambiguous situations, and be flexible/adaptable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• 2-3+ years relevant, fast-paced retail management work experience or other relevant work experience
