About This Role

This full-time, on-site Executive Chef role in Marlton, NJ oversees all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, and safety. The Executive Chef will be responsible for menu planning, recipe development, and managing kitchen staff for LaScala Restaurant Group.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, and safety
• Menu planning, developing new recipes
• Ordering ingredients
• Managing kitchen staff
• Monitoring food preparation and presentation
• Maintaining compliance with health and safety standards
• Managing kitchen budgets
• Fostering a professional, team-oriented work environment

Requirements

• Strong culinary expertise, including menu design, recipe development, and food preparation techniques
• Experience in kitchen management, including staff supervision, training, and scheduling
• Knowledge of financial and budgetary management for inventory control, cost control, and procurement
• Understanding of food safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to health and safety standards
• Organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to foster collaboration among team members

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Executive Chef or similar leadership role in the restaurant industry is strongly preferred
