The EVS/Linen Technician 1 performs routine cleaning, linen, and maintenance services under direct supervision. This role ensures a sanitary environment throughout St. Luke's Health System facilities by following established policies, procedures, and safety precautions.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Perform various linen duties in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Operate and care for specialized floor equipment, including stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, shampooing, extracting, sweeping, and mopping
- Follow a daily cleaning schedule utilizing approved aseptic techniques and specialized cleaning processes
- Use cleaning solutions safely and properly, adhering to all safety precautions and wearing personal protective equipment
- Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure a sanitary environment
- Resolve routine questions, issues, and problems, referring more complex issues to higher levels
