ETF Operations Associate

About This Role

This role will support BlackRock's ETF Servicing Team by executing daily operational processes, including workflow oversight, data exception monitoring, and inquiry management for ETF order lifecycles. The position ensures the accurate distribution of ETF baskets and supports primary and secondary market trading activities.

Responsibilities

• Execute core daily workflow oversight for ETF Servicing-owned tasks
• Monitor data exceptions related to ETFs
• Manage inquiries for specific ETF Servicing tasks during the ETF order lifecycle
• Work with Portfolio Managers to shape, validate, and distribute ETF baskets
• Support Capital Markets and Trading colleagues in monitoring data impact
• Collaborate with stakeholders in Portfolio Management, Trading and Capital Markets, Technology, Risk, Fund Accounting, Custodians, and Authorized Participants
• Utilize analytical abilities and problem-solving skills during project phases of engagement

Requirements

• 2+ years of industry experience with an ETF Asset Manager or at a Custody and Fund Accounting organization
• Understanding of ETFs and the broader market ecosystem
• Strong knowledge of Fund Accounting principles and daily Net Asset Value calculation
• Track record of identifying and delivering process improvement
• Client service mentality and strong relationship-building skills
• Process-driven approach to problem solving and high attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Risk management mentality, able to identify downstream implications and proactively call out vulnerabilities
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• FINRA Series 99 and SIE licenses (to be obtained within 90 days of hire)

• 2+ years of industry experience with an ETF Asset Manager or at a Custody and Fund Accounting organization
