Associate

About This Role

This Associate role allows you to participate in the complete project lifecycle, from inception to maintenance, for critical applications. You'll partner with program and product managers, contribute to platform modernization, and ensure high user engagement, all while adhering to established design standards.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the complete lifecycle of projects, including inception, understanding requirements, and architecting, developing, deploying, and maintaining applications
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team by partnering with program and product managers to expand product offering based on business demands
• Drive up user engagement and adoption of the platform while constantly working towards modernizing and improving platform performance and scalability
• Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with teams within DOE team as well as with the wider Aladdin developer community
• Provide production support for applications for issues that cannot be resolved by operations teams
• Interact with various teams for deployment and maintenance of applications
• Prepare user documentation to maintain both development and operations continuity
• Adhere to BlackRock’s UX and design standards and contribute towards upkeep of those standards

Requirements

• 1 year of experience with Programming in Java
• 1 year of experience with utilizing object-oriented design pattern and implementing business requirements using object-oriented languages
• 1 year of experience with developing and working with relational databases including Sybase and MSSQL
• 1 year of experience with multi-tier application architecture and high performance distributed and in-memory caching solutions
• 1 year of experience with adhering to software development life cycle best practices including behavior-driven development, test-driven development, unit testing discipline, agile development, and CI/CD strategies
• 1 year of experience with Python, MySQL, MongoDB, InfluxDB, Cassandra, and HBase
• 1 year of experience with Spring framework, Unix, Linux, Splunk, Grafana and Prometheus
• 1 year of experience with DevOps tools including GitOps, Maven and Azure DevOps

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 1 year of experience as a Programmer Analyst or a related role with a Master's degree, or 3 years of experience as a Programmer Analyst or a related role with a Bachelor's degree.
