Estimator

About This Role

The Estimator will prepare detailed bids for civil site work projects, collaborating with operations and leadership. This role requires independent management of multiple bids and accurate pricing from concept through final submission.

Responsibilities

• Prepare full-scope estimates for civil site work projects including earthwork, utilities, grading, and paving
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Participate in bid strategy meetings and risk reviews
• Support project handoff to operations and assist with value engineering
• Maintain historical cost data and contribute to continuous estimating improvements

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience estimating civil/site work projects
• Strong background in site development, earthwork, utilities, and paving
• Experience with public and/or private work
• Proficiency with estimating software (HCSS, Agtek, Bid2Win, Bluebeam, or similar)
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines independently
• Strong communication skills and commercial awareness
