The Mid-Level Estimator is responsible for developing detailed cost estimates for industrial construction projects, encompassing mechanical, structural, and equipment installation scopes. This role demands strong technical knowledge, the ability to interpret drawings and specifications, and experience in an industrial contracting environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed cost estimates for industrial construction projects
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately
- Manage and prepare multiple estimates simultaneously
- Engage in bidding for self-perform projects and prepare proposals
- Utilize estimating software to perform takeoffs and pricing
Requirements
- 7 years of experience in industrial, mechanical, or heavy commercial estimating
- Proficiency in estimation, bidding, and using estimating software
- Strong understanding of industrial construction processes, including piping, structural steel, equipment installation, and plant shutdown work
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in industrial, mechanical, or heavy commercial estimating
Nice to Have
- Experience in project management and cost estimation
- Familiarity with Bluebeam software
