This Estimator role involves reviewing construction documents, performing take-offs, and calculating costs for landscape projects. The individual will source materials and subcontractor pricing to produce accurate cost analyses.
Responsibilities
- Review construction documents and understand scope of work to bid
- Execute take-offs of construction documents
- Input take-offs into spreadsheet
- Solicit and obtain pricing for materials and subcontractors
- Determine the cost of all material, labor, equipment, and subcontractors to complete the project
- Inform immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database
- Prepare cost analysis by capturing all material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs required for installation of projects
- Attend meetings as required
Requirements
- 2-3 years’ experience as a landscape/construction estimator
- Construction estimating experience
- Intermediate to advanced skill level in Excel and mathematics
- Extremely detailed and strong work ethic
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- 2-3 years’ experience as a landscape/construction estimator
Nice to Have
- Landscape construction estimating experience
- Experienced with takeoff and estimating software OnCenter, and Timberline
- OST & Sage Estimating experience
