Estimator

About This Role

The Estimator supports the Preconstruction department by providing accurate bidding for plumbing and HVAC work, assisting in daily operations, and performing various preconstruction tasks.

Responsibilities

• Review Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, and Plumbing drawings/specifications to compile accurate cost estimates
• Takeoff quantity of items (pipe, valves, fittings, ductwork, equipment, etc.) from mechanical and plumbing drawings
• Input takeoff (quantity survey) from own or other estimator's work to prepare accurate and complete estimates
• Obtain scopes of work and pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
• Assist in the bid review process and attend turnover meetings
• Perform job site surveys and meetings with contractors, facility managers, and owners
• Analyze historical data and help prepare budgets

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Business OR five years of HVAC industry experience
• Valid Driver's license and clean driving record
• Career minded
• Detail oriented

• Entry level with a degree or 5 years of HVAC industry experience
