About This Role

Provide primary equity research coverage of the Mid Cap Banks sector, managing and conducting fundamental equity research to deliver differentiated industry and stock-specific content to institutional investor clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary equity research coverage of the Mid Cap Banks sector
  • Manage and conduct fundamental equity research processes
  • Build and maintain financial estimates and stock recommendations
  • Communicate research findings to internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Develop expertise on companies in the Mid Cap Banks sector
  • Write research reports on key company updates and industry themes
  • Create and update financial models and databases
  • Attend company and industry events; cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contacts
  • Communicate team views on covered companies with internal and external constituents
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of management or leadership experience

Qualifications

  • BS/BA or higher
  • 6+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent, plus 3+ years of management or leadership experience

Nice to Have

  • Direct sell-side experience of 10+ years as lead analyst covering Mid Cap Bank stocks
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high level of proficiency in modeling
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial statement analysis
  • Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles in the capital markets industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet application
  • Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills
