Proactively acquire and deepen relationships with affluent consumer and small business customers, advising them on financial options and services. This role involves analyzing customer concerns, managing risks, and collaborating with internal partners to meet client needs.
Responsibilities
- Proactively acquire new affluent consumer and small business customers
- Deepen existing customer relationships through outreach and pre-planned appointments
- Review and analyze moderately complex customer concerns for resolution
- Escalate banking related issues or business risks requiring in-depth evaluation
- Advise customers on various aspects of recommended and available financial options and services
- Maintain deep knowledge of Wells Fargo's banking, credit, and investment financial solutions
- Identify client needs and goals for business, mortgage, retirement, and investment services
- Partner with peers in Business Banking, Mortgage, and Wealth and Investment Management
- Understand and manage risks by adhering to policies, procedures, and regulations
- Collect and analyze customer financial information to develop customized plans
- Build relationships with branch colleagues, affluent customers, and partners
- Exercise independent judgment in managing client relationships through regular meetings
- Provide guidance to other branch employees on developing relationships and managing client needs
Requirements
- 4+ years of customer service experience
- 3+ years of experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
- 3+ years of experience recommending products and services
- Current registration for FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 (or FINRA recognized equivalents) or ability to complete within a specified period
- State Insurance license(s) or ability to complete within a specified period
- SAFE registration at the time of employment
Qualifications
- 4+ years of customer service experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education, with 3+ years in building relationships and recommending products/services.
Nice to Have
- Financial services industry experience (corporate, consumer, mortgage, investments, brokerage, or private banking)
- Experience recommending financial services products and services
- Successfully completed FINRA Series 6 and 63 exams
- State Insurance license(s)
- 3+ years of experience in a licensed financial services position
- Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions
- Proficient with proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of book of business processes
- Knowledge and understanding of Branch Banking compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention
- Ability to educate and connect customers to technology and self-service digital banking options
- Experience using strong business acumen to provide financial services consultation to small business customers
- Knowledge and understanding of financial services consumer lending products
- High motivation with ability to successfully meet team objectives
- Experience mentoring and peer-coaching others
