Equipment Service Technician

About This Role

Provide technical service and support for Evergreen filling machines, including installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and training customer personnel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct/control service activities to ensure timely customer support and safety, meeting budgeted goals
• Communicate effectively with central scheduling, management, departments, and customers
• Function as an equipment service technician, advising on problems with current or modified machine designs
• Provide learning experiences for customer and plant personnel on machine operation
• Learn and grow skills and competencies to achieve business and personal development objectives
• Meet corporate business and team objectives for antitrust compliance, information protection, EEO, safety, quality ethical behavior, and learning
• Perform job safely within various customer environments
• Maintain high performance of paper packing equipment to defend against competition

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical skills and knowledge
• Ability to read electrical schematics, use meter & troubleshoot electrical circuits
• Good working knowledge of pneumatics (valves, air cylinders, etc.)
• Good communication skills (written and verbal English)
• Self-driven to work alone and in teams
• Ability to travel to customer site within assigned territory/region (70% travel)
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge to verify inputs & outputs of a PLC and other analog components from HMI (not required to program PLC or troubleshoot PLC programs)
• Experience in operating / maintaining packaging equipment or equivalent in dairy / juice industry
• Possess a passport for possible international travel or ability to obtain one within the first year of hire
