Epic Senior Consultant

About This Role

The Epic Senior Consultant will join the AI & Engineering team to transform technology platforms and drive innovation for clients in the healthcare industry. This role focuses on reimagining and re-engineering critical operations and processes to improve financial performance, accelerate digital ventures, and fuel growth through innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstreams within larger engagements, analyzing information, and developing actionable recommendations.
• Present recommendations to client stakeholders and oversee implementation.
• Perform Epic software analysis, design, configuration, testing, and implementation, as well as application support and issue resolution.
• Interact with Operational and IT personnel to identify, evaluate, and configure systems to meet user and organizational requirements.
• Develop system designs, including functional specifications and strategies, based on operational needs.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in a health care or consulting setting
• 4+ years of experience with large scale healthcare system implementations (EHRs, clinical, revenue cycle systems)
• 4+ years in a client-facing role with collaboration skills
• 4+ years of experience with various phases of the healthcare implementation lifecycle
• Epic certifications and/or experience implementing Epic applications (Clinical, Revenue Cycle, Technical)
• Experience leading or supporting multiple Epic implementations
• Experience with EHR vendors such as Epic, Cerner and Allscripts
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to travel 50%

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 4+ years of professional experience in a health care or consulting setting, with 4+ years in large-scale healthcare system implementations and client-facing roles.

Nice to Have

• Advanced Degree (MBA or MHA)
• Experience conducting interviews to understand and document current business processes
• Experience defining future state business process
• Experience planning, tracking, and delivering projects using Microsoft Project
• Experience documenting processes in Microsoft Visio
• Experience managing and delivering via an Agile/Scrum methodology
• Familiarity with virtual health, cloud, interoperability, data analytics, and/or automation
