Epic Beaker Analyst

About This Role

This role is for an experienced Epic Beaker professional to contribute to a client service delivery team. You will be a primary member of the Epic support team, focusing on implementation, build, and ongoing support without extensive travel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and complete Epic build with the implementation team
• Implement end-to-end Epic systems
• Work command center shifts to investigate during go-live
• Document and resolve break-fix tickets, conducting root cause analysis
• Complete assigned system maintenance
• Perform Epic software analysis, design, configuration, testing, and implementation
• Provide application support and issue resolution
• Interact with Operational and IT personnel to identify, evaluate, and configure systems
• Maintain high credibility and ownership of system activities within assigned application
• Work directly with Operations and provide input on system design and capabilities
• Develop system design, functional specifications, and strategies based on operational needs
• Analyze operational requirements and system capabilities to propose effective solutions
• Understand workflow practices and apply them to system configuration
• Perform unit, system, and integration testing and document outcomes
• Collaborate with Application Team to ensure applications are well supported and implementations are properly executed
• Follow defined standards, promote best practice principles, and participate in change control process
• Optimize, maintain, and support application/system as required
• Participate effectively as a team member to achieve team goals and objectives
• Provide on-call support, troubleshoot and resolve production support issues during Activation as applicable
• Initiate escalation procedures and identify potential issues
• Build rapport and promote teamwork by maintaining a professional and positive attitude
• Lead meetings, prioritize tasks, resolve conflicts, and manage a project plan
• Meet application deliverables, project timelines, and deliver weekly status reporting
• Track project and data with weekly time tracking
• Perform other related duties assigned by supervisor
• In an emergency, perform other duties necessary for the welfare of patients or the efficient operations of the institution

Requirements

• Current Epic Beaker Certification
• 3+ years of recent experience with an implementation
• 3 years of Epic build and support
• Experience in application build and go-live, along with extensive experience in implementation, workflows, troubleshooting, testing, and support
• Demonstrative understanding of technical documentation
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Self Motivated, highly-organized and detail oriented skills
• Superior communication and customer service abilities
• Team player with the willingness/ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Ability to operate independently or with minimum supervision

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of recent Epic implementation experience; 3 years of Epic build and support experience

Nice to Have

• Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Work Experience/Direct Knowledge of clinical area or business area to be supported
