Environmental Technician I Lead

About This Role

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of hospital facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. It also involves coordinating communication and tasks within the department in the absence of supervisory staff.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with co-workers in the absence of immediate supervisor
• Coordinate pre-scheduled assignments and work flow with on duty / on call supervisor and co-workers
• Answer, dispatch and document pager and discharge requests to appropriate Environmental Service staff
• Distribute and collect assignment sheets, pagers and keys
• Communicate inventory needs to the immediate supervisor
• Maintain registers, logs, and other documentation related to the work
• Perform essential responsibilities of Environmental Service Technician I or Technician II as appropriate

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• One year housekeeping experience

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 1 year of housekeeping experience
