Engineering Supervisor

About This Role

The Engineering Supervisor ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining the building, grounds, and mechanical equipment, focusing on safety, security, and asset protection. This role also involves vendor oversight and managing property preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct walk-throughs and assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Ensure all projects, routine maintenance, repairs, and replacement projects are completed in a timely fashion and according to applicable codes
• Obtain and present cost-effective proposals for maintaining or repairing all systems throughout the hotel
• Perform guest response and preventive maintenance work orders as assigned
• Schedule work in accordance with the preventive maintenance program, ensuring limited guest impact
• Ensure all Life Safety equipment and systems are inspected, tested, and certified per code and brand standards
• Assist in critical situations such as fire, natural disasters, or major mechanical malfunctions
• Maintain effective preventative maintenance and work order programs using electronic systems
• Organize materials, tools, and equipment for daily assignments
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and proper use and storage of tools

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of experience in maintenance
• Knowledge of methods and materials used in general building maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, building and electrical units and HVAC
• Basic computer skills including processing emails, basic spreadsheet manipulation, and database/systems navigation
• Ability to obtain a Certified Pool Operator license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of experience in maintenance
