Bistro Attendant

About This Role

The Bistro Attendant will be responsible for taking and serving food and beverage orders to guests, handling payments, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant area. This role ensures a high level of guest satisfaction through efficient and courteous service.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders and serve them to guests efficiently and courteously
• Collect payments from customers and prepare checks accurately
• Check patrons' identification for alcoholic beverage service
• Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations
• Prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks, and chill wines
• Clean and set tables, and stock service areas with supplies
• Assist with reservations, greeting, seating, and thanking guests
• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and tidying stations
• Perform food preparation duties such as preparing salads and brewing coffee

Requirements

• Good understanding of the English language
• Previous guest/customer relations training
• Ability to input and access information in property management/point of sale systems
• TIPS, CARE (or equivalent) certified, or become certified by first day on the job

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) or Work Equivalent

Nice to Have

• Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service
