Bistro Attendant

About This Role

Provide high-quality meal service and create a gracious dining environment for senior living residents. Responsibilities include accurate order taking, relaying orders to kitchen staff, and offering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide service of high-quality meals
• Facilitate a gracious dining environment
• Accurately communicate and take meal orders
• Properly relay meal orders to back of the house staff
• Offer exceptional customer service to residents
• Be present in dining room for full meal service
• Assist with special functions as scheduled
• Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and a sanitary and infection-free environment
• Oversee bistro areas, including food presentation, cleanliness, stock supplies, beverages, and popcorn
• Learn individual resident names, dietary needs, requests, likes and dislikes

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Knowledge of and ability to meet regulations of ADA, state, infection control, health department, and OSHA

Qualifications

• Previous experience in healthcare dietary department or restaurant preferred, but not required.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in the dietary department of a health care facility or restaurant
