Engineering Services Manager

About This Role

Manage engineering resources for services like laboratory, RMAS, airworthiness, and configuration management within an aerospace environment. This role involves developing standards, homogenizing processes across design offices, and ensuring high service performance. The manager will also be accountable for knowledge management and engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site engineering resources related to services such as laboratory, RMAS, airworthiness, and configuration management
• Develop engineering standards and tools
• Contribute to homogenizing processes across three different design offices to assure high service performance
• Be accountable for the Knowledge Management process at all stages of the product life cycle
• Be responsible for engineering tools such as CAD, PLM, CFD, or customized tools
• Identify, create or update procedures/instructions with the help of the extended engineering team
• Contribute to the skills strategy definition and its deployment
• Manage engineering services allocation, sizing, and skills based on needs and priorities
• Technical review and approval of engineering reports coming from his/her teams
• Define and update the local engineering department budget in coordination with the engineering director and local management

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
• MS in Engineering
• 10+ years engineering experience in an aerospace environment
• General mechanics
• Dependability (FMEA, fault trees, etc.)
• Aeronautical development standards
• Aeronautical regulations
• Standard management skills
• Working knowledge of PLM software
• Literacy on Microsoft Office suite

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, MS in Engineering
• 10+ years minimum engineering experience in an aerospace environment
