Engineering Manager - Product Engineering A&A

About This Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead engineering teams in delivering high-quality and outcome-focused software solutions, leveraging extensive engineering craftsmanship and advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages and modern frameworks. This role involves active engagement in technical discussions, mentoring junior engineers, and driving accountability for customer and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams to deliver solutions that solve complex problems with valuable outcomes, ensuring high-quality, lean designs and implementations
• Serve as the technical advocate for products and engineering teams, promoting and supporting evolutionary releases (e.g., alpha, beta, MVP)
• Contribute hands-on to design, configuration, and/or code part of the time, contributing to team velocity and fostering engineering excellence
• Work daily with engineering teams to resolve issues, perform code reviews, optimize code, and maintain coding standards compliance
• Mentor and coach product engineering teams to cultivate strong masters of crafts with passion towards product outcomes
• Lead engineering teams to develop lean solutions through rapid, inexpensive experimentation to solve customer needs
• Collaborate with empowered, cross-functional teams including product management, experience, delivery, infrastructure, and security
• Translate business and user needs into engineering plans (e.g., sprint plans, enables, tasks, priorities)
• Articulate complex technical concepts clearly and compellingly to inspire and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels to build constructive relationships and foster co-creation

Requirements

• 10+ years proven experience with programming languages like Angular, React, NodeJS, Python, Streamlit, C#, .NET Core, Golang, SQL/NoSQL, unit testing frameworks
• 5 years' experience in managing engineering teams in product engineering organizations from inception to delivery
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native engineering, using FaaS/PaaS/micro-services on cloud hyper-scalers like Azure, AWS, and GCP
• Excellent software engineering and product architecture/design foundation with deep understanding of Business Context Diagrams (BCD), sequence/activity/state/ER/DFD diagrams, OOP/OOD, data-structures, algorithms, code instrumentations
• Deep understanding of methodologies & tools like, XP, Lean, SAFe, DevSecOps, SRE, ADO, GitHub, SonarQube

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline. An advanced degree (e.g., MS) is preferred but not required.
• 10+ years proven experience with programming languages like Angular, React, NodeJS, Python, Streamlit, C#, .NET Core, Golang, SQL/NoSQL, unit testing frameworks with 5 years' experience in managing engineering teams in product engineering organizations from inception to delivery.

Nice to Have

• Advanced degree (e.g., MS)
• 3+ years of experience with AI/ML and GenAI
