Employee Relations Manager

About This Role

The Employee Relations Manager will provide leadership and counsel in Human Resources across multiple locations, driving key initiatives in performance management, organizational effectiveness, and employee communication. This role involves reviewing and approving employment actions, consulting with management on HR issues, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and approves employment actions including counseling and terminations.
• Consults with management regarding appropriate handling of employee relations issues.
• Handles employment-related inquiries and concerns from employees.
• Answers policy and procedure questions for employees and management.
• Participates in labor relations activities such as responding to grievances and collective bargaining.
• Conducts training and information sessions on Human Resources related topics.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal working regulations, as well as internal company policy and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HR certification
• 5+ years progressive HR experience
• Familiarity with union workplace
• Knowledge of employment law and practices
• Ability to handle difficult or emotionally driven situations
• High level of confidentiality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office applications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and/or HR certification preferred.
• Five years of progressive Human Resources related experience.

Nice to Have

• Bilingual Proficiency - conversational in English/Spanish
• Practical experience in a production or service industry.
