Route Relief Driver - Uniform

About This Role

Drive and provide services to customers on designated routes, delivering and collecting laundry and uniforms. This role involves sales and customer service, with potential for commission on new business development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance in compliance with company standards
• Call on prospective customers to solicit new business
• Inform regular customers of new products or services
• Drive truck to deliver laundry and/or uniforms to customer's place of business
• Collect or pick up rejected or unsold laundry and/or uniforms
• Load/unload truck with up to 50 LBS bags of linen daily
• Develop and maintain customer goodwill by providing assistance, demonstrating interest, and practicing courtesy
• Conduct business professionally to minimize customer complaints
• Listen to and resolve service complaints, keeping supervisor informed
• Maintain inventory and follow company policies on inventory control
• Collect money from customers, make change, and record transactions on invoices
• Issue or obtain customer signature on invoices for pickup or delivery
• Record delivery and inventory information on daily invoices
• Clean the inside of the truck
• Perform routine maintenance on the truck
• Attend training and service department meetings

Requirements

• Sales and customer service experience
• Clean driver's license
• Ability to drive a 26' bobtail truck
• Comfortable loading/unloading truck with up to 50 LBS bags of linen daily
• Pass drug tests and clinic physical
