About This Role

Join our dynamic Emergency Medicine team at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital as an hourly Emergency Medicine physician. Provide exceptional patient care and contribute to high-quality education in Emergency Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent clinical care by demonstrating proficiency in the evaluation, diagnosis and management of a wide range of acute medical and traumatic conditions
• Provide efficient, high-quality patient care that reflects current professional practice norms and skills and is consistent with accepted utilization guidelines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Promote patient safety and satisfaction
• Contribute to administrative and leadership responsibilities within the department
• Foster a positive work environment and support the growth of Emergency Medicine services

Requirements

• Unrestricted Virginia Medical license or ability to qualify for one
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Demonstrated a commitment to excellence in clinical care, education and research within the field of Emergency Medicine
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
• Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU

Nice to Have

• Fellowship training and/or additional subspecialty certification
