Elite Stylist

About This Role

The Elite Stylist at Ulta Beauty engages with guests, consults on their hair care needs, and recommends products and services. This role focuses on delivering quality professional services with emphasis on the guest's total look while supporting performance, guest service, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform hair services including hair design, haircuts, color, texture, hair treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing (where applicable)
• Meet or exceed sales goals for hair services ($1900 average weekly sales) and productivity goals by delivering exceptional guest service
• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink
• Perform product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and enhance the guest service experience
• Support the execution of in-store events, promotions and marketing initiatives
• Stay informed regarding new and existing industry trends, products, and services
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance
• Develop guest relationships through consultations and appropriate retail and service recommendations
• Serve all guests, including walk-in guests, in a timely and efficient manner
• Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, standards, and dress code
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures and state board guidelines
• Maintain outstanding store operational standards, including cleanliness of the salon and other assigned areas

Requirements

• Cosmetology license
• Previous relevant work experience
• Proficiency with latest salon techniques for haircutting, haircolor, lightening, styling, texture, treatment, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing services
• Proficiency with use of equipment and chemicals needed to perform technical work
• Ability to demonstrate, recommend and sell pro hair care and makeup products
• Developed communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license
• Previous relevant work experience is required
