Elite Stylist

About This Role

The Elite Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services. This role delivers quality professional services with an emphasis on the guest’s total look and supports management by focusing on sales, guest service, and operational compliance within Ulta Beauty.

Responsibilities

• Perform hair services including design, haircuts, color, texture, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing where applicable
• Meet or exceed sales goals of $1900 average weekly sales and productivity goals for hair services
• Perform product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance the guest service experience
• Support the execution of in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives
• Stay informed regarding new and existing industry trends, products, and services
• Develop guest relationships through consultations and appropriate retail and service recommendations
• Serve all guests, including walk-ins, in a timely and efficient manner
• Collaborate with skin therapists and the retail team for a total-store guest experience
• Utilize booking and clientele systems for return services and events
• Maintain outstanding store operational standards and salon cleanliness

Requirements

• Cosmetology license
• Previous relevant work experience
• Proficiency with latest salon techniques for haircutting, haircolor, lightening, styling, texture, treatment, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing services
• Proficiency with use of equipment and chemicals needed for technical work
• Ability to demonstrate, recommend, and sell professional hair care and makeup products
• Developed communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and build clientele

Qualifications

• Previous relevant work experience is required
