Electronics Technician 1

About This Role

The Electronics Technician 1 will install and maintain electronic security systems, perform preventive maintenance, and conduct inspections. This role involves leading small installation projects and programming head-end equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams on small moderately complex installation projects.
• Conduct and document daily tool box talks.
• Install all head end equipment at both the local and global level per design packages.
• Program head end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV systems.
• Troubleshoot and isolate both systems and/or hardware at both a local and global level.
• Provide on-site software commissioning and testing.
• Perform inspections, evaluations, and inventory.

Requirements

• 2+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs
• Active TS/SCI clearance REQUIRED (must be willing and able to obtain a polygraph)
• Valid driver's license
• Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills
• Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated time management and organization skills

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program
• 2+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs, plus an additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities beyond initial training.

Nice to Have

• Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems (Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems)
• Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills
