Electrician

About This Role

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, ensuring safe and efficient operation while adhering to legal and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including lighting controls, FF&E, and other minor electrical issues
• Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and local building codes
• Repair or replace wiring, lighting systems, and breaker boxes
• Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to avoid breakdowns and ensure efficient operation
• Assist in the maintenance of energy management systems and ensure lighting systems operate efficiently
• Collaborate with maintenance and janitorial teams to ensure seamless operation of building systems
• Document work orders and maintenance activities in the ticketing system
• Attend daily toolbox meetings and communicate any issues to management
• Adhere to client’s safety regulations, legal restrictions, and building codes
• Assist in emergencies and work on low temperature refrigeration equipment

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in English is highly recommended
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in cramped spaces or at heights
• Open availability for overtime, schedule adjustments, and holiday work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in electrical work, Journeyman/Apprentice level preferred

• OSHA safety certifications
