This role involves providing electrical and mechanical maintenance for industrial machinery and facilities, troubleshooting complex systems, and ensuring all work meets safety standards. This position is critical for maintaining continuous operation in a 24/5-6 manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on industrial machinery and facility equipment based on work orders
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams on assigned projects and improvements
- Diagnose and resolve issues in electrical, computer, mechanical, and pneumatic systems in industrial settings
- Interpret and adhere to electrical codes, schematics, blueprints, and specifications for repairs
- Disassemble, repair, replace parts, and maintain mechanical equipment like motors, pumps, conveyors, and belts
- Conduct major electrical repairs on control systems (24VDC, 120VAC), 3-phase systems (up to 480V), PLCs, and VFDs
- Service AC and DC drives, instrumentation, hydraulic/pneumatic controls, and industrial temperature control systems
- Install new equipment and replace/test electrical circuits
- Isolate defects in wiring, switches, and electrical equipment using test instruments
- Replace faulty switches, sockets, and electrical system components
- Operate necessary equipment to perform job duties
- Communicate problems to supervisors and managers throughout the shift
- Perform all work following established safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out
Requirements
- 5+ years electrical maintenance experience in industrial systems and automated technologies
- Strong electrical/mechanical knowledge
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer skills
- Trained in lock out/tag out procedures
- Ability to pass an electrical aptitude test
- Arc Flash certified or ability to become certified
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- VFD troubleshooting and replacement
Qualifications
- 2 year electrical degree or similar education preferred but not required
- 5+ years electrical maintenance experience with strong electrical/mechanical knowledge of industrial systems and automated technologies.

- Experience with tension controllers
