Electrical Engineer

About This Role

Design and engineer complex electrical systems for building projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and design Power Distribution Systems (medium and low voltage distribution, standby power, load calculations, short circuit and coordination studies, arc flash hazard)
• Engineer and design Lighting Systems (calculations, lighting controls, luminaire selections, architecturally integrated lighting systems)
• Engineer and design Auxiliary Systems (fire alarm systems, voice/data structured cabling, access control, CCTV, and other low voltage systems)
• Thoroughly understand the coordination aspects of all design disciplines and how they impact the project
• Organize work and multi-task efficiently
• Communicate effectively, both written and verbal

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience specific to building systems
• Experience in engineering and designing power distribution systems
• Experience in engineering and designing lighting systems
• Experience in engineering and designing auxiliary low voltage systems
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Strong working knowledge of Revit
• Team-oriented problem solving skills and decision-making ability
• Ability to organize work and multi-task
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an engineering-related curriculum

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an engineering-related curriculum from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 5 years' experience specific to building systems

Nice to Have

• Passed the Fundamental of Engineering exam
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
