This role supports the DEA's Office of Special Intelligence by collecting, analyzing, and disseminating investigative information, as well as coordinating administrative services. It involves examining financial records, preparing analytical products, and providing technical support for law enforcement operations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and summarize large volumes of investigative data to prepare analytical products for law enforcement operations
- Provide technical support to investigative personnel for obtaining, reviewing, and analyzing source documents and statistical information
- Recommend to the Government the relevancy of investigative information to priority intelligence requirements
- Organize and conduct detailed examinations of information gathered during complex criminal and civil investigations
- Provide written results and briefings to the Government as required
- Participate in developing methodologies for exploiting investigative information and conducting quality control for work products
- Utilize financial analysis software, including ACTIONABLE INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGIES Financial Investigations System, to process and analyze financial records
- Perform data entry from hard copy and soft copy documents into large-scale data processing systems
- Lead quality control review over software output and reconcile data with original documents for accuracy
- Report individual findings from analysis, write intelligence reports, create graphics, and prepare discovery/court material
Requirements
- 5+ years specialized experience in intelligence collection, evaluation, analysis, production, and dissemination
- Active Secret Clearance
- Working knowledge of current investigative techniques relating to analyzing and summarizing large volumes of investigative data
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of specialized experience involving collection, evaluation, analysis, production and dissemination of investigative intelligence
