Divisional Speech Language Pathologist

About This Role

Provide home health speech-language pathology services to adult and geriatric clients in a divisional travel role. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapeutic interventions for speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories
• Perform thorough evaluations to assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for clients
• Develop a treatment plan based on evaluation, physician's orders, and recommended goals
• Assess and revise the speech therapy care plan continually, participating in multidisciplinary care
• Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other patient representatives in rehabilitative care
• Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations utilizing a touch pad tablet

Requirements

• Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in South Carolina
• Possess a certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or equivalent educational requirements and work experience

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
