Provide home health speech-language pathology services to adult and geriatric clients in a divisional travel role. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapeutic interventions for speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
Responsibilities
- Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories
- Perform thorough evaluations to assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for clients
- Develop a treatment plan based on evaluation, physician's orders, and recommended goals
- Assess and revise the speech therapy care plan continually, participating in multidisciplinary care
- Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other patient representatives in rehabilitative care
- Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations utilizing a touch pad tablet
Requirements
- Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in South Carolina
- Possess a certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or equivalent educational requirements and work experience
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
