Disney Live Entertainment Costumer Intern

About This Role

The Disney Live Entertainment Costumer Intern is responsible for the development and sustainment of Character and entertainment costumes, taking designs from concept to fruition. This role involves researching manufacturing, partnering with operations, coordinating fittings, and managing budgets to deliver remarkable entertainment experiences.

Responsibilities

• Research and facilitate the manufacturing of new and replacement Entertainment costumes, focusing on sustainability
• Partner with Entertainment and Costuming Operations to ensure consistent costume quality and design
• Coordinate fittings with Entertainment and Workroom personnel
• Interact regularly with Entertainment Show Producers, Directors, Designers, and Operating Managers
• Source fabrics and commodities, create work orders and purchase orders
• Facilitate fittings and manage budgets
• Work with vendors and various partners
• Troubleshoot challenges related to costumes and provide customer support to talent and operating partners

Requirements

• Experienced in the Theater, Film, or Fashion Industry
• Proven planning and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Computer proficiency in Excel, OneNote, PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Smartsheet
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated strong partnering skills
• Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and vendors
• Currently enrolled as a Senior or graduate student in a relevant major
• Portfolio review required, with a link on résumé

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a Senior or graduate student majoring in Costuming, Entertainment Costume theme park, Apparel Design, Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent
• Experienced in the Theater, Film, or Fashion Industry
