Lead and oversee strategic capture efforts for the Launch and Exploration Division within Northrop Grumman Space Systems. This role involves leading a team of capture managers, developing capture strategies, and collaborating with business development to achieve growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all Capture activity within the LED Division.
- Lead a team of Capture Managers assigned to captures primarily within LED.
- Provide leadership to Capture Managers, ensuring they receive guidance and support.
- Partner with the Division Business Development Director to assign qualified Capture Managers.
- Lead capture teams for sector priority wins and key opportunities, both domestic and international.
- Develop capture strategy and tactics, including competitive assessments, teaming strategies, and price-to-win analysis.
- Develop clear and concise Win Themes and Value Propositions for captures.
- Understand the customer marketplace, stakeholder organizations, and budgets to identify market drivers and trends.
- Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and functional organizations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with teaming partners and industry associations.
- Coordinate and collaborate with line of business management, strategy, finance, contracts, and global supply chain.
- Execute sector processes and strategies to increase capture PWin and improve win rates.
- Lead the development of briefing materials and responses for the VP of BD.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of CRM tools (Salesforce) and Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP) standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technical or other relevant discipline
- 15+ years relevant experience (Intelligence, Defense or Federal Civilian)
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary business development and strategy development activities.
- Experience in leading capture teams and leveraging CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) with Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP).
- Leadership skills to develop, organize and execute significant capture activities.
- Extensive knowledge, experience, and success in leading and winning captures of large-scale opportunities over $500M, fixed price development.
- Proven expertise in leading international captures.
- Strong verbal communications skills and prior experience briefing executives.
- Ability to influence constructively and work across divisions and sectors.
- Experience with developing and maintaining effective internal and external business relationships.
- Demonstrable understanding of all contract types (non-IDIQ, IDIQ - single or multiple award contracts), and payment types (e.g., FFP, T&M, cost plus).
- Ability to work and execute a quick reaction process for all government responses.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance at the time of application.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technical or other relevant discipline
- Minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience (Intelligence, Defense or Federal Civilian)
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field and master’s degree in technical/business field
- 20 years of industry experience in capture leadership, business development, and/or program management
