Dining Server

About This Role

Deliver an exceptional dining experience to residents and guests by providing courteous and efficient table service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and ensuring dining areas are welcoming and sanitary.

Responsibilities

• Assist with catering, room service, special events, and marketing functions to ensure resident satisfaction
• Promptly take food and beverage orders and deliver service to residents and guests
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area by washing pots, pans, and utensils, following food safety standards
• Clear, sanitize, and reset tables; dispose of trash; and complete daily checklists
• Assist with cleaning dining areas, including floors, tables, and chairs after meals and events
• Maintain knowledge of assigned responsibilities and adapt service to meet individual resident dining preferences
• Support cost-control efforts by minimizing waste and using supplies responsibly
• Accurately follow recipes and ingredient labels for food and beverage preparation
• Safely operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment and utensils
• Demonstrate knowledge of dining menus and effectively communicate details to residents and guests
• Maintain current knowledge of food safety regulations and ensure full adherence to guidelines
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to support positive relationships and well-being
• Collaborate with team members, follow management direction, and promote a respectful dining environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Up to two years of prior experience preferred, with senior living experience strongly desired.

Nice to Have

• Up to two years of prior experience, with senior living experience
• Relevant state or county licensure
• CPR or BLS certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word), web-based platforms, electronic health record systems
