Dining Room Server

About This Role

Serve meals to residents and guests in a dining room setting, ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining dining room cleanliness. This role requires flexibility and the ability to work harmoniously with a diverse community.

Responsibilities

• Ensure dining room is set up according to ERS standards for meals
• Roll silverware, stock cereal racks, and re-stock linens as directed
• Serve meals to residents and their guests, providing exceptional customer service
• Clear dirty dishes from tables between courses and after meals
• Ensure all tables and chairs are cleaned and reset after meal service
• Perform other cleaning duties including beverage stations, serving stations, and salad bar, and vacuum dining room
• Prepare and deliver trays to residents as requested
• Assure safety regulations are followed and report any accidents, hazardous equipment or conditions immediately
• Perform stock room functions including checking stock, notifying supervisor of damaged items, and putting stock away

Requirements

• Minimum 8th grade education
• At least 16 years of age
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English and follow written/oral instructions
• Ability to move equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to work independently with flexibility and integrity
• Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and occasionally hostile people
• Commitment to aligning behavior with ERS Core Values

Qualifications

• 8th grade education
• Entry level position, no prior experience mentioned beyond minimum education
