Dietary Aide

About This Role

This role involves duties related to the preparation, service, and transport of patient, staff, and guest meals within a hospital setting. The Dietary Aide will stock food and supplies, perform food preparation and service, and ensure cleanliness of work areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties related to the preparation, service, and transport of patient, staff, and guest meals
• Take inventory and maintain records
• Stock food and supplies
• Prepare, set up, and serve food
• Transport food and supplies
• Clean and sanitize all equipment and work areas
• Maintain accurate cash operations
• Prepare, deliver/collect, and review daily patient menus to ensure selections are in accordance with prescribed diet
• Transport food and supplies within or between hospitals
• Prepare and deliver patient formulas

Requirements

• Additional experience/training required dependent upon discipline

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
