DevOps Engineer

About This Role

This role is for a fully remote DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in Microsoft technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting IIS servers, managing SQL Server environments, and implementing Microsoft Cloud offerings.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support Microsoft IIS servers (6.0, 7.0, 7.5, 8.0, 8.5, 10)
• Implement and understand PKI infrastructure
• Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server (2005, 2008, 2014, 2016)
• Design and implement MS SQL high availability clustering solutions
• Implement and troubleshoot Microsoft Cloud offerings (PaaS WebApps, PaaS DBs, IaaS, networking)
• Administer and maintain document management systems like LaserFiche
• Troubleshoot Windows Active Directory
• Troubleshoot distributed internal and public-facing Web Applications/Web services
• Implement various authentication mechanisms for web applications
• Design and implement web servers
• Configure F5 load balancing/reverse proxy
• Facilitate overall application design and integration
• Implement Windows/SQL clustering

Requirements

• 8+ years' experience with Microsoft IIS 6.0-10
• 6+ years' experience with PKI infrastructure
• 8+ years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005-2016
• 8+ years' experience in MS SQL high availability clustering solutions
• 6+ years' experience with Microsoft Cloud offerings (PaaS WebApps, PaaS DBs, IaaS, vNets, NSGs, Application Gateways, VPN gateways, Application Insight, Desired State)
• 6+ years' administration experience with LaserFiche
• 8+ years' experience troubleshooting Windows Active Directory
• 6+ years' experience troubleshooting distributed Web Applications/Web services with Oracle, IBM DB2, and MS SQL backends
• 6+ years' experience implementing authentication mechanisms for web applications
• 8+ years' experience in designing and implementation of web servers
• 8+ years' experience with F5 load balancing/reverse Proxy configuration
• 8+ years' experience in overall application design and integration
• 8+ years' experience with Windows/SQL clustering

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in installing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft IIS servers and designing/implementing web servers, SQL high availability clustering solutions, Windows/SQL clustering, and overall application design and integration. 6+ years' experience with PKI infrastructure, Microsoft Cloud offerings, document management systems, and troubleshooting distributed web applications and various authentication mechanisms.

Nice to Have

• Good working knowledge of load balancing technologies
• Understanding of authentication/authorization mechanisms like OAuth2, OpenID, and SAML
• Deep understanding of virtualization technologies, storage, and networking backend infrastructure
• Expertise in creating and troubleshooting PowerShell scripts
• Experience in automation using PowerShell
• Knowledge of managing and integrating on-prem TFS and cloud-based VSTS with Azure Web Apps
