About This Role

The DevOps Engineer Advisor will create and maintain automated pipelines for software development and delivery, focusing on build, test, and deployment processes. This role ensures enterprise standards are met through quality checks and audit controls, contributing to security, code quality, and continuous integration/deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain pipelines to automate software development and delivery related to build, test, and deployment
  • Establish Quality checks and Audit Controls in pipelines meeting Enterprise Standards
  • Work with Scrum Teams on security, code quality, configuration management, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
  • Provision and de-provision environments
  • Debug technical issues within complex technical stacks involving virtualization, containers, and microservices
  • Establish Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines for new applications
  • Encode, test, debug, and document associated scripts/programs
  • Resolve escalated technical matters and perform root cause analysis/fixes for complex issues
  • Actively monitor stacks, ensuring automated builds and deployments function successfully
  • Participate in or lead special projects and training

Requirements

  • Eight (8) years of relevant experience
  • Four (4) years of experience in programming languages (preferably Java)
  • Three (3) years of experience using DevOps tools like Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, Python, YAML, Shell Scripting
  • Good understanding of Linux OS configuration, Networking and Firewall concepts
  • Experience in configure/maintain testing environments, software release management and support activities
  • Experience working in Agile team-oriented environment
  • Experience in creating, deploying and running Docker containers
  • Good understanding in Terraform/Ansible/Chef, Kubernetes, PCF etc.
  • Good understanding of cloud networking architecture, cloud operations, security, automation and orchestration
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Eight (8) years of relevant experience, including at least four years in any programming languages (preferably Java), and at least three years using DevOps tools.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge in Serverless technologies (Lambda, Google Functions, Azure Functions)
  • Ability to design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience to architect and manage cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices
  • Ability to ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and resilience of production systems
  • Experience to collaborate with software engineers to optimize application deployment, observability, and runtime performance
  • Ability to implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
  • Experience to lead incident response efforts, perform root cause analysis
  • Ability to enforce security best practices across infrastructure, pipelines, and runtime environments (DevSecOps)
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and architectural patterns
  • Skill to establish and document operational standards, runbooks, and best practices
  • Ability to mentor and provide technical leadership to junior DevOps and platform engineers
  • Awareness of emerging DevOps tools, cloud services, and industry trends
