Deputy Program Manager

About This Role

Manage the overall program for the ground-up construction of jail facilities, coordinating with teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery and budget adherence. This role requires navigating a politically sensitive environment while providing strategic direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall program for the construction of jail facilities
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery and adherence to budget
• Provide strategic direction and ensure alignment with the project's goals
• Handle complex relationships and navigate a politically sensitive environment effectively
• Manage multiple project teams and ensure collaboration across departments
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and risks to ensure successful delivery
• Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and manage any political or community-related concerns

Requirements

• Proven experience in ground-up construction projects, specifically jails
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage large, diverse teams
• Excellent political and diplomatic skills to navigate complex, sensitive environments
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
• Proven experience in ground-up construction projects, specifically jails

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a Program Manager or Sr. Project Manager role
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
• Experience with government or public sector projects
